I have decided to make my short story “Renovation” available as a standalone story once again, with a new cover that I LOVE.

Jack just wants to spend the day job hunting online and taking care of his young son Max, who’s napping up in his room. Everything is going as well as can be expected when a noise in the house catches Jack’s attention.

It’s just the dryer, he thinks, but then realizes he already finished the laundry. He keeps hearing strange noises, but they’re not coming from any particular room, they seem to be emanating from the house itself. And then he hears something that sounds an awful lot like his name.

What do you do when the thing you’ve designed to keep you safe is the thing that turns against you? “Renovation” is an action-packed story of a monster like you’ve never imagined.

In the backup feature, one from the Icons to Ashes collection, “Birth Day” tells the story of a man who wakes up sore and confused in an alley, only a few feet from a decapitated body. He doesn’t remember his name, he doesn’t know how he got there, but his body feels so strange, and the world around him begins to take on a dreamy quality, almost as if it’s moving in slow motion in comparison to him.

Together, these two stories form the perfect pair, as the characters find how easily life can be turned upside down in a blink, without warning, and from that moment on things can never go back to how they were.

You can do me a solid and buy it for a whole $0.99 on Amazon, or if you want to join my mailing list, you can get it free here.
